Gift Card Terms & Conditions

PLEASE NOTE

• Gift cards can currently only be used for purchases in Life Pharmacy and Unichem retail stores. They cannot be used for online purchases.
• A gift card is not returnable or redeemable for cash and cannot be used towards the purchase of another gift card.
• Living Rewards points will not be earned on the purchase of Gift Cards. Living Rewards points are earned at the time the Gift Card is redeemed.
• A gift card expires 12 months from the day of activation. Any unused balance remaining on the gift card at expiry will not be refunded or credited.
• A gift card cannot be replaced and Life Pharmacy shall not be responsible for any gift card that may be lost, stolen or damaged, including during transit to the delivery address.
• Life Pharmacy is not responsible for gift card orders that are not received due to incorrectly entered or incomplete delivery information provided by the customer.
• Gift cards can only be delivered to New Zealand addresses.
  
  

HOW TO CHECK YOUR BALANCE

To check the remaining balance on a Life Pharmacy Gift Card:

1. Visit giftstation.co.nz
2. Click the ‘check balance’ link found at the top or bottom of the site
3. Click the ‘Create an Account’ button – you will need to register with giftstation.co.nz before you can enter and query your gift card details
4. Enter the 16 digit card number and the pin from the back of your gift card. Your balance will then be displayed on screen.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. TERMS

You, and any person who holds a Gift Card, agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. PURCHASING A GIFT CARD
1. You can purchase a Gift Card from one of our Life Pharmacy retail stores.
2. You must choose the value of your Gift Card at the time of purchase from a range of set denominations (if buying online) or at a value you choose (if buying in-store). The minimum value is $20 and the maximum value is $500.
3. Your Gift Card will be activated at the time of purchase or (if purchasing online) the date of dispatch.
4. If you purchase a Gift Card online:
1. the card will be sent at your risk by Courier Post (with signature required) to the person at the address in New Zealand indicated by you; and
2. details of approximate delivery times, and delivery costs, are specified on our website.
5. Living Rewards points will not be earned on the purchase of Gift Cards. Living Rewards points are earned at the time the Gift Card is redeemed.

3. USING YOUR GIFT CARD
1. Your Gift Card is only redeemable for merchandise sold by Life Pharmacy or Unichem, and can only be used for purchases in Life Pharmacy or Unichem retail stores. Your Gift Card is only valid in New Zealand and cannot be used for online purchases.
2. If you wish to use your Gift Card to purchase merchandise at a price exceeding the value remaining on your Gift Card, you must pay the excess using another payment method. If the price is less than the value remaining on your Gift Card, the balance will remain on your Gift Card for use on another occasion (prior to card expiry).
3. Our usual returns policy will apply to purchases using your Gift Card. Where you have used both a Gift Card and another payment method in a single transaction, any refund will be applied to the Gift Card first. If the merchandise is faulty, we will meet our obligations under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.
4. Your Gift Card is not returnable or redeemable for cash and cannot be used towards the purchase of another Gift Card.

4. EXPIRY
1. Your Gift Card expires 12 months from the day of activation.
2. Any unused balance remaining on your Gift Card at expiry will not be refunded or credited by us.

5. RESPONSIBILITY
1. You should treat your Gift Card like cash. Your card cannot be replaced, and we shall not be responsible for unauthorised use of your card or for any card that is lost, stolen or damaged.

6. GENERAL TERMS
1. Privacy: A copy of our privacy policy is available on our website.
2. Amendments: We may amend these Terms from time to time by updating them on our website.
3. Force Majeure: We shall not be in breach of these Terms, or otherwise liable to you, for delay in performance or non-performance of our obligations under these Terms due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control (including, for example, any power shortages or systems failures).
4. Law: These Terms shall be interpreted in accordance with and governed by the laws of New Zealand.

7. DEFINED TERMS AND INTERPRETATION
1. In these Terms, the following words have the following special meanings:
1. "Gift Card" means a plastic gift card issued by us;
2. "online" means online at www.lifepharmacy.co.nz
3. "Terms" means these terms, together with the terms set out on the back of a plastic Gift Card, as amended from time to time;
4. "we", "our", "us" means Green Cross Health Limited trading as Life Pharmacy; and
5. "you" means the purchaser of the Gift Card and any holder of the Gift Card for the time being.
2. For convenience, these Terms have been grouped under headings, but the headings do not affect the meaning of these terms.
