Book your Flu Vaccine starting April 1st 2025.

We recommend annual flu immunisation for everyone over 6 months old to stay protected before winter begins.

If your tamaiti (child) is under 9 years old, consult with your vaccinator to determine if they may need one or two doses, spaced four weeks apart, based on their previous flu vaccination history.

It’s not always easy to get an appointment with your GP – you may be waiting days or even weeks. Visiting the emergency department can be costly and wait times can be substantial. Good news: for everyday health issues, you can pop into one of our Care & Advice Health Hubs and get high-quality health advice and treatment. Access is easy, it’s quick to book and we have plenty of available times. Our team of professional and highly skilled pharmacists can support you with advice on a wide range of health issues. A pharmacist will chat with you privately, in confidence, and may be able to provide you with the medication you need – without a prescription. However, some health issues can be addressed quickly and cost-effectively at your local Life Pharmacy. We provide fast and easy access to health advice, through our Care & Advice Health Hubs.
GP wait times too long? Our pharmacists may be able to help

We can help if you’re heading off on a winter holiday and want your influenza vaccination before you leave, or when you’re feeling the first hints of a UTI on a Friday. We’re here if you need support with your vitamin B12 levels, want to check your blood pressure, or you’re looking to quit smoking or manage your weight.
And don’t let GP or nurse wait times stop you from getting the vaccinations you need. We can vaccinate you and your family against COVID-19, shingles, whooping cough, MMR, HPV, the flu and meningococcal disease.
We can provide emergency contraception, and we can assist you with your regular oral contraception supply. All you need to do is book an appointment at your local Care & Advice Health Hub.

Our Care & Advice Health Hubs have private rooms so our pharmacists can provide a discreet consultation service. They are professional and friendly, and always respect the confidentiality of your health concerns. You can get pharmacist advice in a private room, or online, and you can feel confident that your issues will remain confidential.
Support to manage your medication
Our pharmacists may be able to support you to manage your medication:
- We can package up your tablets and capsules into compliance packs to make it simple for you to follow your daily treatment routine. This can help make it easier for you to remember which medicines to take and when – each time and day is labelled.
- Medicines use review (MUR) service. Sit down with a pharmacist and learn more about the medicines you are taking, identify any side effects and get your health back on track.

We can only supply medications where they are medically appropriate based on what our pharmacists know about you, your health, and the specific medication. In some cases, our Care & Advice Health Hub staff will not be able to supply certain medicines. We will recommend that you see a doctor for a further medical opinion or to consider different treatment options.
